Fun is something that is often hard to find in an office. For a long time, companies didn’t understand that happy employees were those that had fun, enjoyed the time they spent together, and the work that they do. But work can be tedious, and people knew there had to be some other way to make the less interesting stuff more enjoyable. Dwellworks has taken this need for fun in a work environment and built their core values around it. By integrating fun into the day to day tasks, Dwellworks has brought life back into the office.  As a rising senior, I love seeing that companies are starting to embrace all the different aspects of running a business. That companies are beginning to understand that graduating college students and young professions like to work, and will work hard, but we believe in balance. No matter how busy things get at Dwellworks, they always take the time to have fun and celebrate accomplishments and events. In the past five work days alone, we have celebrated the world cup with games, snacks, and dressing up in our favorite team’s colors. We have also celebrated our 100,000th DS authorization with bagels, sparkling wine and candy, a strange combo I will admit. Taking time to have small daily doses of fun at Dwellworks makes it interesting and fun, it allows people to interact and laugh and re-energize them to keep us all focused. Fun is such a big part of the culture here and it’s something I plan on looking for in all of my jobs going forward.
